A hairless to hairless
breeding will result in all
hairless pups.
A hairless dog bred to a
coated carrier will result in
half of the litter being
hairless and the other half
being coated carriers.
When an outcross is
brought in and bred to the
hairless dog, the result will
be all coated carriers.
A coated AHT or coated
carrier is a dog that
carries the hairless
gene but has hair.
An outcross is a rat
terrier completely
unrelated to the AHT.

The coated AHT and outcrosses are very important to this breed's gene pool.   A common problem with the smaller
hairless male pups is undescended testicles.  The rat terrier does not have this problem, so our outcrossing to the rat
terrier will help produce more intact tiny males.
